Insta Friday

Howdy, folks!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but these weeks are just flying by.
I truly love teaching, but I really love the person I get to be when I'm not bogged down with paperwork and worry.

Anywho, I'm joining Jeanett's "Insta-Friday" link-up at Life Rearranged.

Here are my Instagram pics for this week:

During the summer, all of the cousins love to hang out at Grandma and Grandpa's pool.
The two youngest ones could spend all day in the pool.
We were teaching lil Autumn how to float.
She's so stinkin' cute!
My friends and I went to the local Farmer's Market early on Saturday and we were blown away by the size of these sweet potatoes. They were flipping HUGE!
It would produce a butt-load of fries, hehe :)
Scott and I are finally tending to the landscaping in the front yard.
It's only been a year since we ripped out the old ugly plants but who's counting?
We spent one whole day planning and buying the plants we wanted.
{AND we thought this was the hard part!}

This was some dirty, dirty, DIRTY work!
In hindsight, physically doing all of the work was the hard part.
Also, this was not the best time of year to do yard work, either.
We aren't the brightest bulbs, you know.
But it's done - Hallelujah, it's done!
Y'all, I've read about this Hobby Lobby you speak of on your blogs, but I had no idea!
My sister and I trekked WAY out of our little town and happened upon a Hobby Lobby.
It was huge! So much crafty goodness. I was completely overwhelmed.
It was like going to Babies R' Us for the first time.
You know, when you walk in the place and you're like,
"This whole store is dedicated to JUST baby stuff?"
Then, you start to hyperventilate and pass out...
Or is that just me??
Anyway, I found way too many things I wanted to buy including this set of Chalk Markers.
Don't own a chalk board but that's besides the point.
I've started running again. Ya!
However, if I want to beat the heat, I need to leave the house pretty early.
And I was still sweating like a pig!

Fourth of July brought fireworks and freshy-fresh Bahamian conch fritters. Yum!
Actually, we ended up doing fireworks three nights this week.
Scott was in hog-heaven. Boys will be boys!

Scott and I's new favorite place to grab a bite is a fro-yo joint called Brain Freeze.
You see that first picture? That is the only size cup they give you.
It is a pint. A pint!
Then, you, the customer, adds the frozen yogurt and toppings inside this huge bowl.
You are forced to either make good assumptions while you pour or go overboard and fill that sucker up. The total cost is in the weight of the bowl.
Aha, that's where they get ya!
My cup is the less full one. Scott tends to go big. It is a dangerous place.
But, it is so good. Plus, I love their spoons. They have, like, the most perfect plastic spoons ever!
So, I saved the worst for last this week.
Scott and I set some new goals for this week on our cute little fridge chart.
Notice how none are checked off?
Yep, I'm a big loser this week. I'm going to have to get them ALL done tomorrow.
Ha! Good luck, right?

It's a new goal!

That's it for this week.
Not too shabby. I got out of my pj's almost every single day!

Go on and check out Life Rearranged's blog and everyone's Insta-Fridays.

  3. Stopping by from Instafriday....

Your landscaping looks great! I do think picking out plants and planning is the most worrisome part of gardening.

    Have a great weekend!
