I made something in time for "Monday Made It."
Yippee!
Being crafty has been on my "To Do" list.
Unfortunately, that stinkin' "To Do" list is really l-o-n-g!
That's why I love these Linky Parties because they give me a deadline.
And, this girl needs a deadline!
Here's my craft:

It's a Three Tiered Stand!
At first, I saw this stand on Pinterest {which is where I find all great ideas.}
Oh, they were so cute! I knew I had to make one for my home.
Then, I thought about the stand in a different way.
I've been dying to do Bucket Fillers with my class for some time now,
but I have been missing some parts of the whole.
I've got the book.
I've got the little buckets.
I've got the fillers.
I do NOT have the clear shoe holder,
like this one:

For the life of me, I couldn't find a cheap (over the door) shoe holder for my buckets.
I have been to all of the Dollar Trees in my area and they didn't have one.
This search has been going on for two years now!
Surely, I could have done it several other ways that do not include a shoe holder,
but I've been saving these "buckets" and I WANT to use them!
They're my husband's old gum containers which I've been saving for some time now,
and I have a ton of them. I thought they would be perfect "buckets."
Since my search for a boring clear shoe holder has been to no avail,
I had to come up with a Plan B.
Which is where the stand comes in. Why didn't I think of it sooner???
Luckily, Julie of Joy's Hope gives great directions that are super easy to follow.
The beauty of this stand is that most of the materials come from the Dollar Tree.
Materials:
Dollar Tree - 3 trays and 2 candlesticks
Home Depot - Rust-oleum Spray Paint : Key Lime, Sun Yellow, Aqua, and Primer
Glue - I had already: E-6000
First, I primed all of my pieces and a few planters I've been meaning to fancify.
Next, I painted my pieces on every side a few times and let them dry.
When all of the pieces are dry, it's time to glue the candlesticks.
THIS is the most difficult part for me.
Centering the candlestick is not my forte!
I used the tape measurer for added pressure.
When this tier is dry, add the next tier.
Again, not only does it have to be centered on the tray,
but it has to be centered with the bottom layer. HARD!!!!!
I plan on using this stand to house my students buckets.
Above are a few buckets that I had at home.
This stand will work out well for me because I have a good spot in mind for it.
I plan on numbering the buckets for my students.
I do have a question for y'all:
Should I paint the buckets or should I keep them how they are?
I was thinking if I paint the buckets then the kids can't see through them anymore.
They won't know how many fillers they've acquired.
Or should that not matter?
At any rate, I am super happy that my buckets have a home!
