Hulk Papers and Some Fascinating News

Update: I entered the docs again and this time I changed one of the settings. I think if you click on the little black square with the arrow on the top right corner of the document, it will open up a new window and let you download the pdf.
{At least, I hope it will!}

I want to thank everyone who commented on my post yesterday.
THANK YOU!
We really had a great time with those Hulk hands.
I promised to give you the paperwork and dimensions for the lesson and anchor chart, so I hope I am doing this correctly.

You see Google docs doesn't like me for some reason. Therefore, I went to Scribd.
Scribd liked me a lot and we became good friends. But there is one problem:
If you don't share on Scribd and you just want to take from Scribd, then you must pay a fee to Scribd.

I didn't realize that little speed bump.
Since I like to share my stuff for free, that really bugged me.

So now, I am going back to Google docs and pray I don't screw this up like a moron.
*If I do mess it up, please just e-mail me and I'll send it to you!

*For the Anger Management Anchor Chart:

For the Writing Piece:

For the Craft:

There it is {I hope it's right!}

Now I'd really like to know how y'all can just click on the image and it will take you to Google docs to download.
Where was Blogging 101 when I went to college?
We were still using floppy disks back then!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now on to some pretty sweet news:
I've been nominated to put a pony keg on my blog.
Accelerated Degree Programs
Yippee!
I looked up the post I wrote that got me nominated and it was the one where I was whining about my compulsion to cut Box Tops to perfection. Hahaha!
I guess we get props for keeping it real!
Now, there are a ton of other wonderful blogs to vote for and I believe you should vote for the one you think really deserves the pony keg prize. If it happens to me, then you are the best person in the whole wide world and I'm not just saying that because I want to win. You will really be my bestest friend ever!
Voting begins on May 14
Thanks AGAIN!
Sunshine Award 2011
Once again, I'd like to thank Sara at Smiling in Second Grade, Patricia at Primary Practice, Jess at Rambling About Reading, and Haylee at Following Optimism for giving me the Sunshine Award. It is fabulous of y'all to think of my little ole blog so highly. The teacher blogging community is so welcoming and genuine. Reading your blogs and receiving positive comments from all of you has been a highlight of my year 2011!
Now on to the award responsibilities:
1. Thank the person who gave this award and write a post about it.
2. Answer the following questions below.
3. Pass the award to 10-12 fabulous bloggers, link their blogs, and let them know you awarded them.
Q and A:
1. Favorite Color?
Blue and Green {and I do have a soft spot for pink}
2. Favorite Animal?
So hard, I love most mammals.
Let me repeat that - I love most mammals
NOT reptiles
NOT fish
NOT birds
 MAMMALS
Some that are on the top of my list are cats (all kinds), elephants, and giraffes.
3. Favorite Number?
I guess it depends on the day.
3
7
13
4. Favorite drink?
If you haven't already gathered that I am quite indecisive.
I love water, Diet Mountain Dew, orange juice, rum, and tequila!
I used to love beer until I couldn't drink it anymore. {sad}
5. Facebook or Twitter?
Twitter, I guess.
Can I say BLOGGER?
I got rid of my Facebook account this year.
It is too much work to read through the posts of people I'm not really interested in {but can't delete because I see them around town.} Also, you can totally tell which people are lying about what is going on in their life. And, of course, everyone's life on Facebook is wonderful! They have perfect husbands, children, friends, jobs, etc. GAG ME! Over it.
6. Passion?
Teaching is my number one passion.
7. Giving or Getting Presents?
Oh, I'm a giver! I am always on the look out for cool gifts for my friends and loved ones. My only problem is I have the hardest time waiting to give my gifts. I want to give them their gift RIGHT AWAY!
8. Favorite Day?
My special day, of course, my birthday! The best day of the year :)
Now, I'm passing this award on to the following blogs:
Thank you so much for this award!
Oh and by the way, I am so happy to say that I was a drill sergeant today and was able to get 12 of my students FAIR tested by 11:30am this morning. I've never tested that many students in such a short amount of time. I have 6 more to go. Not too bad. Of course only because I was forced to get it done this quickly. Ideally, I would have administered it much differently {Especially since about 5 or 6 of my students have the worst colds. You know that affects their fluency score!}
Well, laundry is calling... Happy a great Hump Day!
My First Award!
I've had the longest Saturday! Scott and I had to wake up super early to head up to Orlando for my nieces sporting events. One had a crew Open House event and the other had a volley ball tournament. Wow, what an ordeal sports are! They are both club or comp. team sports, so the events were a pretty big to-do.
Now, I've never been involved in sports {unless high school band counts.} These were cultures, I was NOT familiar with. It was like a little sociology learning experience for me. Very interesting... says the band nerd.
Anyway, I was totally stoked to come home and read in my e-mails that Mrs. Geary from Light a Candle blog has awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award! Too cool! I've noticed awards floating around lately, but I never thought in a million years that my name would come to someone's mind. Thank you, Mrs. Geary! I love it!
Please make sure to read and become a follower of her blog, Light a Candle. It's great!
Here are the rules of the award:
*Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.
*Share 7 things about yourself.
*Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs.
7 things about me:
1. I'm a television addict. My mom used to call me the "Walking TV Guide." I don't think that is anything to be proud of, but I love crappy television. ALL OF IT! Currently, my husband is going to kill me because I have spent this entire summer watching Cheers reruns non-stop! :)
2. I hate to exercise {or play sports - especially anything involving balls} but I love to run.
3. I have celiac disease, so I can't eat anything containing gluten. Total drag!!
4. I can't cook at all. If Scott didn't feed me, I wouldn't eat!
5. I am very codependent. I couldn't live without my sweet husband, my mom, my dad, my fur babies, my sister, my nieces and nephews, my bff, my parents' dog, Chewy. Oh, the list goes on and on...
6. I secretly wish to have a SMART Board in my house. I'd use it every day!
7. I can be really immature at times. Like, certain names make me laugh or think of really inappropriate jokes.
For instance,
"Amanda" - Amanda Hug and Kiss
"Penelope" - Is really pronounced PEEN-OE-LOPE
"Eddie" - In my head, I think of the Eddie Murphy joke where he says "Eddie! Pay Me My Money! I want HALF, EDDIE!"
