I have gotten better about spending less time at school though. I had to send one little guy out of my class at least once a week. He came to me about five weeks before the end of school, so he didn't know who he was dealing with. Talk about "loss of freedom"!!!! I felt like my students learned more and were more engaged with their learning, after the End-of-Grade assessments were completed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04326948903234090461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873499241661035545.post-30836214153102993972012-06-02T07:32:29.475-07:002012-06-02T07:32:29.475-07:00this year did def go by so quick im sad to see it ...this year did def go by so quick im sad to see it end =( ...im your newest follower...drop by =)

Just Wild About TeachingJust Wild About Teachinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04867050462640068362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873499241661035545.post-10506766792814191092012-05-19T22:21:06.758-07:002012-05-19T22:21:06.758-07:00Very jealous of your smart board!! Kids are not allowed to be held in during recess, no matter what!! Studies have shown that kids need physical excercise, especially your ADHD kids!! I agree with you teaching has changed so much. I am a rulebreaker though, shhh...don't tell;)

Aloha,
Corinna
Surfin' Through SecondCorinnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17644120120264681731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873499241661035545.post-25280919617956826462012-05-15T18:50:59.748-07:002012-05-15T18:50:59.748-07:00I'm totally with you on the anger management t...I'm totally with you on the anger management thing. Our school has tightened the reins on giving students snacks or treats due to obesity epidemic but I believe that kids need to play especially my poor adhd children who can't sit still.

Misty
Think, Wonder, & TeachThink, Wonder, and Teachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14989520184672726443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873499241661035545.post-49364903857391579902012-05-15T00:46:25.691-07:002012-05-15T00:46:25.691-07:00What do you mean that you don't get to go to r...What do you mean that you don't get to go to recess? Don't the kids get to play? If so, that is very sad indeed. I feel for your kids. I think that would cause a huge uproar here - I don't think they'd get away with it (I hope anyway!).

With our new national curriculum, I'm feeling like you. There is no time to do things the way we like anymore and it's the kids who suffer.

Kylie
Down Under TeacherDown Under Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06022421921244166640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873499241661035545.post-18046975806797455242012-05-14T18:11:37.208-07:002012-05-14T18:11:37.208-07:00Thanks for linking up!
